In this workshop, music educators are given easy and accessible tools they can use in their classrooms to help inspire students to create and compose their own original songs. This is a FUN workshop.
Exploring Art Masterpieces Through Music and Poetry: Viewing great works of art becomes an active adventure in this playful, participation-based workshop. This program helps participants produce musical and written responses to masterpiece paintings. A discussion and brainstorming session is included to help educators go home with practical tools and ideas they can easily assimilate in the classroom setting.
Expressing Emotions Through Music and Poetry: In this program, students explore and express a variety of emotions through creative writing, music improvisation, and visual art. As participants create their own unique and imaginative artworks, they will also share their perspectives and advice on how to deal with both positive and negative emotions in our everyday lives.
Noticing Nature Through Music and Poetry: A hands-on exploration of natural environments and objects inspires beautifully detailed poetry. Participants will experience their original poetry coming to life with musical interpretation through original musical soundscapes and compositions. This workshop encourages close observation and specific expression with words and sound.
